Data edge limited (Dataedge), a private digital service provider firm, will provide digital certificates and digital signatures along with required solutions aimed at digitization of different services, reports BSS.

Introduction of Digital Signature will fulfill the long cherished demand of the nation for Digital Security and Authenticity required for performing Internet Transactions, E- Tender and e-governance in a truly secured manner, said Controller of the Certifying Authority (CCA) Zahangir Alam at a function organized for completion of “Key Generation Ceremony” in the city on Thursday.

He said that the initiative would be a giant step towards’ government’s commitment for a truly Digital Bangladesh.

The function was also addressed by dataedge Managing Director Asifuzzaman and Director Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury.

With the “Key Generation Ceremony” the ceremony enabled dataedge to receive the Root Certificate from CCA and start issuing Digital Certificates to corporate and individuals.

Dataedge completed all the required formalities for issuance of digital certificates from the government. Digital Certificate and signature uniquely defines the authenticity of the sender - a company or individual - in digital media.
